Milarepa Corporation first breathed life as a tearoom in an outer Brisbane suburb in 1974 and initially traded under the name of Still Waters which was Alan Pilkington's nickname at the time. Alan is a born clairvoyant, being exceptionally gifted since birth, and he first found an outlet for his readings in the Tea Rooms of Brisbane . After 5 or 6 years of working in the existing Tea Rooms, Alan decided to open his own.

Tearooms in Brisbane are unique. It is where people have their fortune told for the price of tea and scones. If nothing else, the patrons leave totally entertained. This quaint custom still exists today and is so much a part of the ‘Brizzie' culture that it has become a permanent tourist attraction.

It was not until Still Waters decided to expand its interests by venturing into the world of publishing that the name Milarepa Books was born, named after Milarepa, the Tibetan saint.

The first book published was one based on the Personal Year Cycles found in Numerology. The second was another book on Numerology, this time using numbers to explain compatibility, and the third was a handbook on the art of tealeaf reading. The latter formed the basis of Alan's Tea Room and, together with Sue's Tarot Line, fashioned the new look website for Milarepa Corporation. Milarepa is believed to be the first site of its kind anywhere in the world that provides full, personalised written readings in an instant.

Sue's Tarot Line is the creation of Alan's wife and business partner, Sue Paton. Sue is a gifted Alchemist and intuitive, using her knowledge of Astrology, Tarot, and the ancient healing arts and wisdoms to predict and advise. Sue's Tarot Line uses the classical Tarot approach, and draws on psychological archetypes to define the past, present and future. This is very helpful for understanding why events have occurred, and will occur, and how you can take an active role in shaping your life and change it for the better.

Alan's Tea Room complements the Tarot Line by predicting specific events and filling in details. Between the two sites, one can get a fuller picture of what is happening, and about to happen in your life.

“Romancing the Numbers” is a numerology site of Alan's, explaining the nature and comparison of relationships, and begins with an explanation of your own personality and characteristics, in terms of your destiny, and you as a lover. Then it will indicate your compatibility with one other person, male or female, nominated by you.

Here is something to look forward to. "The Relationship Tarot" answers all your most often asked questions about love and relationship and predicts what the likely outcome will be. Another of Sue's creations, it complements Alan's "Romancing the Numbers" to bring you a comprehensive look at your relationships.

“Your Years are Numbered!” is another of Alan's numerology sites based on his book of the same name, which was first published in 1992. It outlines your years and months ahead, giving you an idea of what to expect and how to get the most out of each period of your life.
